Dr. Bruce Roche Scholarship
American Advertising Federation chapters across Alabama established this scholarship to support college students studying for careers in advertising. More than $34,000 in scholarships have been awarded in the 30 years of the program. Dr. Bruce Roche was the primary scholarship coordinator for more than 26 years. In honor of his service, the scholarship was renamed after him in 1996.
The scholarship awards $2,000 to a deserving junior or senior studying advertising, marketing, graphic design or public relations at a four-year college or university in the state of Alabama.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
Be a full-time junior or senior at a four-year college or university in Alabama at the time the scholarship funds are received.
Major or minor in advertising, graphic design, marketing, or public relations.
Have at least a 3.00 grade point average on a four-point scale in the major or minor and in all academic work at the time of application. This GPA may not be achieved by rounding.
Use of Funds
Recipient must use scholarship funds to meet college expenses.
Selection
Recipient will be announced following a review by the Scholarship Committee.
Letters of Recommendation
Applications must include a letter of recommendation from a recent instructor. Recommendations from employers and others may also be included.
Transcript
Applications must include a copy of an unofficial transcript that includes current GPA, courses completed and courses currently enrolled in.
